  • The Market Operations team at Robinhood is responsible for traditional middle office brokerage operations. We aim to offer an outstanding end-customer experience and manage firm risk while championing innovative brokerage and financial products. We’re looking for a specialist to help grow our Margin team.
  • As a Market Operations Specialist (Margin), you’ll be responsible for account level risk management and operations. Handle daily responsibilities for our margin business: analyze and resolve margin calls, communicate with customers on complex issues, review risk alerts, test margin product functionality, and review outbound communications and educational materials. Additionally, you’ll be expected to help scale our processes, tools, documentation, and workflows, and be a key member in helping us grow our team. Along with the broader Market Operations team, you’ll work cross-functionally with our clearing, product, compliance, and engineering teams to improve operational efficiency and maintain our high-quality standards!
  • This role is based in our Chicago, IL; Denver, CO, or New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

  • What you’ll do
  • Review daily margin calls and implement the firm's margin sellout process
  • Research, prioritize, and resolve margin-related escalations
  • Communicate with customers in a live support environment through email or phone support
  • Mitigate firm and customer risk through intraday alert monitoring and proactively resolve account issues
  • Partner with our clearing, engineering and product teams to drive efficiency and to improve our margin offering
  • Keep detailed records in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Ensure adherence to firm procedures and industry regulations
  • Be a subject matter expert during critical system outages or issues
  • What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 63
  • Understanding of equities and option strategies
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology and data-driven tools, with a forward-thinking approach to automation and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills, including critical thinking and data analysis. Skilled in applying digital tools to tackle ambitious tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Regulation T and Rule 4210
  • Outstanding attention to detail and effective at solving complex issues
  • Strong knowledge of Robinhood's products
  • Experience with retail client margin calls
  • Bonus: FINRA Series 24 and Series 4

  • In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
  • Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

  • Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)
  • $85,000—$100,000 USD
  • Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)
  • $75,000—$88,000 USD
  • Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)
  • $66,000—$78,000 USD
