Content moves the world – Avid powers greater creators. JOB SUMMARY The Manufacturing / Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring product excellence and operational efficiency. This position provides technical support for new product introductions (NPI), working closely with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure smooth transitions from development to production. The engineer will also drive resolution of field and manufacturing quality issues, performing root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES New Product Introduction (NPI): Partner with design and development teams to ensure manufacturability and quality requirements are met. Develop and validate manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality plans for new products. Support pilot builds and production ramp-up activities. Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve field and manufacturing quality issues using root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, FMEA). Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence of issues. Monitor product performance and reliability metrics, driving improvements where needed. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce defects, improve yield, and optimize production efficiency. Lead projects focused on process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. Create / revise process documentation Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison between engineering, product management, & suppliers. Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards and regulatory requirements. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality or related field. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering within a production environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent written and communication skills Experience in complex electromechanical assemblies Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, SPC). Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes. Proficient in MS office products (Word, Excel) Power BI is a plus Avid is an equal opportunity employer.
