This role offers the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, strengthen financial performance and drive continuous improvement across a complex and diverse organisation. What you’ll do Lead the provision of management accounting support for allocated service areasOversee monthly budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysisCoordinate annual budget setting and final accounts processesSupport and guide finance colleagues to ensure quality and deadline adherencePrepare year-end audit papers and statutory/government returns You’ll work closely with senior finance leaders, heads of service and budget holders to provide robust financial insight, challenge assumptions and promote a strong corporate approach to resource management. What we’re looking for Qualified or part-qualified accountant (or equivalent experience)Strong background in management accounts and budget forecastingExperience supporting or mentoring finance colleaguesConfident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholdersStrong technical knowledge of financial regulations and accounting practice The ideal candidate will bring commercial awareness, attention to detail and a proactive mindset, thriving in a collaborative and performance-focused environment.
