MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

LOCATION: Homebased (with travel to Stanmore Head Office and other sites as required)

SALARY: £45,000 per annum

CONTRACT:12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT - Permanent, full-time 37.5 hours per week

ABOUT THE ROLE...

Were looking for a talented Management Accountant to join the Finance & Commercial team at Walsingham Support.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Management Accountant will play a key role in monitoring and improving financial performance across the organisation.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, people, and purpose.

As Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for producing accurate management information, supporting planning and forecasting activities, and helping drive informed financial decisions that make a real difference in the lives of the people we support.

What You'll Be Doing...

As a Management Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:

o Producing monthly service-level and cost-centre results and sharing them with budget holders.
o Holding monthly results meetings to review financial performance and explain variances.
o Providing support and guidance to budget holders on managing their budgets effectively.
o Assisting in the preparation of monthly management reporting packs and KPI reports.
o Supporting the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.
o Helping to manage and improve financial reporting systems and processes.
o Assisting with ad-hoc projects such as income and cost analysis, and process improvement initiatives.


WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR...

To succeed as our next Management Accountant, you'll bring:

o A relevant finance qualification or be studying towards ACCA, ACA, or CIMA (study support is available).
o Experience in a finance or accounting role.
o Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
o Excellent analytical and communication skills.
o The ability to work collaboratively, manage deadlines, and prioritise effectively.
o Experience in a charity or social care setting would be an advantage but isn't essential.
