Job Title: Management Accountant Location: IpswichRate: £27-£29 PAYEContract Type: Temporary (Initial 12-weeks)Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week Job Purpose: The Management Accountant plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis, accurate reporting, and effective budgetary control. This role ensures financial integrity and contributes to the overall performance of the business. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.Support budgeting and forecasting processes across departments.Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and risks.Assist in the development of financial models to support business planning.Maintain and improve internal financial controls and procedures.Liaise with department heads to provide financial insights and support.Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.Provide support for ad hoc financial projects and analysis. Qualifications & Experience: Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).Proven experience in a management accounting role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
