Job Description Summary Job Description Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalency 1-2 years Maintenance or equivalent experience Valid NYS Driver’s License Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Performs routine maintenance of facility and production equipment as designated by the Maintenance Manager. Assures proper functioning of various security systems (fire detection and suppression, building access, etc.) Maintains an efficient work schedule based on assigned tasks. Conducts preventative maintenance servicing by ensuring work is completed in an efficient and timely manner. Actively engages in the site’s Environmental, Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with all tasks and projects performed. Cross-trains other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience. Frequent interaction with site management, employees, internal and/or external suppliers, manufacturers, etc. to address equipment concerns. Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on site needs. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Cross-train with other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience. Participate in and support team initiatives Frequent interaction with operations and support functions Willingness to work overtime as needed Participate in and assist in leading Team initiatives. Reports problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach. Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products. Utilizes proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements. Understands and abides by the GE behaviors. Other duties as assigned. Desired Characteristics: Special education and/or vocational training. Basic knowledge of plumbing and carpentry skills. Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic operation and repair. Basic knowledge HVAC system and tool knowledge. Industrial machining equipment diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team environment. Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative. Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing knowledge. Physical demands: Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition. Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance. Ability to continuously sit; ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs. *All job descriptions are subject to change and/or updates. The pay for this position is $21.60/hour. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
