Maintenance Team Leader - Food Manufacturing Ilminster, Somerset | £44,000-£49,000 per annum DOE | Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm (1-hour lunch) | Full-Time Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Maintenance Team Leader for a leading food manufacturing business in Ilminster. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is carried out efficiently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Duties Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance engineers, managing performance, attendance, and development. Prioritise and issue daily work to site engineers, ensuring all maintenance duties meet company standards and Health & Safety procedures. Provide cover for breakdowns, projects, and planned preventative maintenance to improve OEE and reduce wastage. Manage maintenance budget, stores, work order planning, and CMMS accuracy. Conduct root cause analysis to reduce recurring breakdowns and improve operational efficiency. Support continuous improvement projects across the site. Requirements Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills - Essential. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities - Essential. Hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance. Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) - Desirable.
