• Load & Secure Cargo: Ensure that all loads are properly secured and balanced for transport, using appropriate securing equipment to prevent damage during transit.
• Pre-Shift Checks: Carry out pre-vehicle checks on the HIAB crane and associated equipment to ensure all systems are functioning correctly and the vehicle is roadworthy.
• Customer Service: Interact with clients and site workers professionally, ensuring high levels of service and clear communication. Address any concerns or issues on-site promptly.
• Documentation & Reporting: Complete all necessary documentation, including delivery notes, vehicle logs, and health & safety compliance forms. Report any vehicle faults or issues to manager in a timely manner.
• Compliance: Ensure all driving and lifting operations comply with road safety laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Route Planning: Plan the most efficient routes for delivery while considering traffic, weather conditions, and site access requirements.
• Occasional Overtime & Weekend Work: Flexibility to work outside of regular hours, including weekend work or overtime when necessary, to meet project deadlines.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence: Must possess a valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence, with a clean driving record.
• HIAB Certification: A valid HIAB (Lorry Mounted Crane) certification is essential. Additional training or certifications (such as CPCS or NPORS) would be an advantage.
• Experience: Proven experience in driving HIAB-equipped vehicles and operating cranes, with a solid understanding of vehicle and crane safety regulations.
• Health & Safety Knowledge: Strong awareness of health and safety protocols and the ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Customer-Focused: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of clients and site personnel.

• Previous Experience: Experience working within the construction or plant hire industry is a plus.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with the vehicle or crane while on-site.

Benefits:
• Competitive Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience), with opportunities for overtime.
• Overtime & Weekend Pay: Enhanced overtime rates for weekend and out-of-hours work.
