• Job Overview
• Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated Prison Services Pharmacist to join the team at HMP ISIS in South-East London. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy services within a secure environment, supporting offender health and wellbeing while ensuring safe and effective medicines management.
• You will work closely with pharmacy technicians and healthcare teams, delivering clinical services on-site and acting as the responsible pharmacist in the dispensary when rostered.
• Key Responsibilities
• Provide weekly clinical pharmacy services to allocated prison sites in line with SOPs.
• Act as responsible pharmacist in the dispensary when rostered.
• Conduct medication reviews, MURs, and support formulary compliance.
• Collaborate with primary care teams to ensure safe prescribing and medicines use.
• Monitor prescribing trends and contribute to clinical governance and medicines management committees.
• Qualifications and Experience
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Previous experience in clinical pharmacy (prison or secure environment experience desirable).
• Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and formulary management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
