What's involved with this role:

JOB TITLE: Licensing Officer - Animal licensing
REF: Exeter 5277315
Pay rate: £15.06 per hour PAYE
Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 2 to 3 months
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working with minimum 40% on site/office presence. This may vary to more onsite presence depending on the position.

Previous Licensing experience and experience of animal licensing would be an advantage for this role

The role:

On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Licensing Officer ideally with previous experience of animal licensing.

You will also assist in the administration and promote compliance of this Authority’s duties in respect of various licensing services, including those provisions under the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, Private Hire & Hackney Carriage Legislation, Scrap Metal Dealers etc.

What the client is looking for:

Detailed knowledge of the administration & enforcement of licensing legislation
Previous experience of animal licensing is desirable
NEBOSH Certificate or a recognised Licensing qualification or equivalent experience
Detailed knowledge in the preparation and presentation of legal advice
Experience of managing paperwork, sorting, gathering & retrieving information
Experience in making presentations and presenting Committee reports
Experience in interviewing under caution and preparing prosecution files
Familiar with PACE, CPIA, RIPA and other Acts association with investigations
Able to organise and prioritise workloads, work under pressure and meet deadlines
