Job Purpose:

The Early Years Educator is responsible for the running, organisation and development of the assigned provision, including children, staff and visitors to ensure an outstanding service is provided that delights our parents and children and all regulatory requirements are met and exceeded

Working Pattern:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Term-time only or all year around available
  • 15 to 37.5 hours per week (decided by candidate)
  • Start and finish times to suit the candidate with a range between 7.30am and 6.15pm

Salary and Terms:

  • £25,346.25 to £26, 181.08 (pro-rata)
  • Opportunities for further pay progression
  • Dependent upon experience and qualification

Essential Requirement:

  • NVQ level 3 playwork, teaching or relevant childcare qualification plus 2 years experience of working with 4 to 12 year olds in a childcare or education setting.
  • GSCE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Be prepared to train in First Aid, Health and Safety, Child Protection (Group 4), Food Hygiene Level 2 and Level 4 childcare qualification.

Desirable Requirements:

  • NVQ level 4 playwork, teaching or relevant childcare qualification;
  • 3 years experience of working with 4 – 12 year olds in a childcare or education setting;
  • Current First Aid qualification;
  • Current Health and Safety qualification;
  • Current Food Hygiene certificate; and
  • Current Group 4 Child Protection certificate.

Start Date:

Flexible start date to suit the candidate, including an immediate start.
