Fixed Term for 12 months due to funding.We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Legal Officer to work in the Property & Commercial Team within Legal Services. You should hold or be working towards a legal qualification (CILEX or equivalent), have a law degree and suitable legal experience or be able to demonstrate that you have significant relevant experience of legal work.
You will advise and work on matters relating to contracts and grant agreements as well as commercial matters in general. The primary focus of this role will be to provide legal advice and support in relation to the Council's ambitious Bus Service Improvement Plan. You must be confident in dealing with clients, partners and external professionals.
You must be highly organised, flexible and be able to demonstrate that you are able to deal effectively with a large workload which is subject to tight deadlines. You should be an excellent communicator and a team player.
