Permanent, Full TimeMerton College is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation lecturer to deliver outstanding quality in teaching, learning, assessment, and tutorial support to students, to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum, with employer engagement, and learner skills development.Acting as a Course Leader and Academic Tutor, you’ll create and implement innovative teaching, learning and assessment and deliver teaching and assessment activities within own area of specialism including lectures, setting/marking coursework, practicals, and field work to undergraduates and postgraduates.We’d like you to hold a teaching qualification (or working towards), be qualified to a minimum of L3 in Electrical Installation and have recent teaching experience in Electrical Installation in an FE College, School or private provider. You’ll have experience of teaching on Electrical Installation courses such as C&G , EAL Electrotechnical and T levels and teaching or a working knowledge of Green Skills technologies (Solar/PV, EV Chargers, Air Source Heat Pumps and Retrofit) and of delivering Electrical Inspection & Testing 2391/51 and 2391/52 and the 18th Edition BS7671: 2018.With strong evidence of good-to-outstanding teaching, learning, assessment and tracking and a successful record of tutoring and supporting learners, you’ll be able to work under pressure and to strict validating body deadlines and provide evidence of assessment for Moderation.
