An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our partner Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Romford. We are seeking a talented individual to provide essential support to students with a range of complex needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs.
• Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Help create a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Support students' social, emotional, and physical development throughout the school day.
• Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of individual students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to student development.
• Assist with the overall well-being and supervision of students, including during breaks and transitions.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children or young people is essential, with a strong preference for experience in an SEN setting.
• A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to be flexible, proactive, and resourceful.
• A positive attitude and a true commitment to helping students with SEN succeed.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
