We are seeking highly motivated part time Learning Development Worker at our Fort William Campus.

About us: UHI North, West and Hebrides, a partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands, has over 600 staff, 19 campuses, and circa 9000 students. We cover an area larger than Wales characterised by mountains, islands and a substantive coastline. As Scotland’s newest college, we are at the forefront of pioneering research, knowledge exchange, and distinctive and sustainable learning for our rural and island communities with national and international reach.

Position: We are seeking highly motivated part time Learning Development Worker at our Fort William Campus.

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for guiding and supporting students in groups and in building their confidence as learners. You will take an active role in improving student retention, attainment and positive student outcomes.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills: You will demonstrate an ability to engage and communicate well with students at all levels, on an individual basis and in groups. Proven organisational skills, experience in motivating others and skilled in facilitating group activity. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential, both in person and via video calls. Educated at SCQF 7 and above.

A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous to your application.

Salary: £30,280 - £32,043 per annum, pro rata

Location: Fort William

Working Hours: 17.5 hrs per week, Permanent
