Full Time Continuing position New and exciting Industry Engagement team in the Faculty of Engineering Base Salary Level HEO8 $126,065 - $142,171 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Lead, Industry Engagement and Research Collaboration is a proactive, externally oriented role focused on expanding the Faculty of Engineering’s engagement with industry, government, and community partners. Its core purpose is to identify and pursue new opportunities for collaboration that align with the Faculty’s research strengths and educational priorities. This includes active outreach, participation in sector events, and the initiation of early-stage partnership discussions. As a Lead, Industry Engagement and Research Collaboration, your key responsibilities will be to: proactively research and identify new industry and government stakeholders aligned with faculty strengths and strategic goals represent the Faculty of Engineering at industry networking events, conferences, trade shows, and innovation forums initiate contact with potential partners and coordinate exploratory discussions with academic staff develop partner intelligence briefs and landscape scans to inform strategy and partnership targeting generate and qualify leads for both research and educational collaborations, contributing to the partnership pipeline support the early stages of proposal development and partner onboarding in collaboration with Business development Managers assist with the coordination and promotion of industry engagement events hosted by the faculty. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Lead, Industry Engagement and Research Collaboration who has experience in: structuring and negotiating commercial agreements from low to high value evaluating commercial opportunities from education, research or technology developments record of achievement selling services business to business and business to government experience with legal, intellectual property and commercial frameworks experience in the higher education sector or relevant professional experience experience with competitive research grants and/or strong Government, Industry, or University networks that you can leverage in this role will be an advantage Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
