Lead Development Specialist - Hybrid Manchester Location : Manchester - 3 Days in the office Per Week Salary : £80,000 Overview: Lead and guide a development team in designing and delivering insurance-based solutions using the Microsoft technology stack (.NET Framework, .NET Core, MVC, Web APIs, SOA). This role focuses on translating business needs into high-quality, scalable applications while driving best practices and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development team in implementing modern, efficient, and secure solutions aligned with company strategy.Design and document technical specifications, contribute to IT roadmap initiatives, and ensure quality delivery through code reviews and testing.Collaborate with Business Relationship Directors, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams to design and support business-critical applications.Evaluate business requirements, design and develop complex solutions, and provide technical leadership across the SDLC.Research new technologies and recommend cost-effective solutions.Support production deployments and provide 2nd/3rd-level technical assistance.Mentor junior and offshore developers, fostering growth and adoption of best practices.Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and security standards (e.g., SOX).Stay updated with emerging technologies and promote innovation within the team.
