As Lead Cyber Security Vulnerability Manager in DWP Digital's Security team, you'll play a key role in protecting the systems and services that millions of people rely on.
This is a leadership role where you'll shape and deliver our vulnerability management strategy, covering people, processes and technology. You'll ensure our approach aligns with organisational goals, risk appetite, and wider government cyber security objectives.
You'll lead a team of Vulnerability Analysts, guiding investigations into cyber risks and driving remediation actions across multiple digital functions. You'll collaborate with operational and security teams to develop mitigation strategies and reduce exposure to threats.
Your work will help ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practice. You'll also contribute to security awareness across the department, helping build a culture of resilience and readiness.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Multi-Platform Cybersecurity - You've got broad platform knowledge and can carry out cybersecurity assessments from a multi-platform perspective, ensuring nothing gets missed.
- Vulnerability Management Leadership - You've led teams with a deep understanding of vulnerability management as a key part of a wider cybersecurity capability.
- Cloud Security Expertise - You bring extensive experience working with cloud-hosted services, applying core security principles and technologies to keep environments secure.
- Threat Intelligence & Assessment - You've got an advanced grasp of threat intelligence and assessment concepts, and you've led activities that turn insight into action.
- Complex Infrastructure Experience - You've worked across complex IT infrastructures and multi-domain models, with hands-on experience in vulnerability management as part of a broader cybersecurity strategy.
- Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Manager (CISSP) and
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); or
- MSc Information Security
