Lead Construction TutorLocation: ManchesterSalary: Up to £38,000 (full-time, term-time plus 5 days)Start Date: As soon as possible / ideally before ChristmasRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Construction Tutor to oversee the delivery of Level 1 and 2 multi-trade construction qualifications at our Manchester vocational centre. Working with learners aged 14–19 — many with SEMH needs — you will lead a team of tutors across our specialist Brickwork, Woodwork, and Building Skills workshops.This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring high-quality teaching, consistent assessment practice, and a safe and supportive learning environment for students who thrive outside of mainstream education.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and coach a team of construction tutors working across three workshop areas.Ensure high standards of quality, compliance, assessment, and record-keeping for all construction qualifications, including preparation for moderation.Deliver practical lessons and provide cover teaching where required.Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive environment for small groups of learners (approx. 8 per class).Work closely with SLT to uphold safeguarding procedures and contribute to a positive, values-driven culture.Contribute to curriculum planning, continuous improvement, and staff professional development.Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and local employers where appropriate.Person SpecificationEssential:AET Level 3 and CAVA (or equivalent teaching/assessing qualifications).Strong practical background in construction trades (e.g., brickwork, woodwork, general building).Experience teaching or training young people, ideall
