• Civil/Structural Engineer – Onsite Role
• 📍 Plymouth | 🕒 37–40 hours per week | 📅 46-week initial contract
• Join our client to delivering a major 3 Basin remediation project in Plymouth This is a key onsite role where you’ll lead and coordinate civil & structural engineering activities within a dynamic Joint Project Team (JPT).
• 🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
• Defining project requirements & preparing technical specifications 📑
• Managing engineering support and detailed design activities 🏢
• Reviewing and approving drawings, method statements & risk assessments ✔️
• Providing technical supervision of construction/deconstruction works 👷
• Supporting commissioning/decommissioning activities ⚙️
• Responding to RFIs and technical queries 💬
• Contributing to project optioneering and continuous improvement 🔄
• Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environment & Quality standards 🦺

• EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Experience of developing design assurance for complex projects
• Experience in civil engineering for complex projects
• Experience in stakeholder engagement throughout the engineering lifecycle

Desirable

• Experience in a defence sector.
• Experience in civil sector.
• Experience of design delivery within defence projects.
• Experience in engineering lifecycle management.
• QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
• Essential: UK National with SC Clearance. Demonstrable suitable qualifications and experience relating to marine and mechanical engineering. Accredited Degree in an appropriate ‘STEM’ discipline (or equivalent qualification and experience)
• Desirable: Chartered Engineer
