Location: Wetheringsett Manor, Suffolk, IP14 5QX

Salary: Up to £42,500 per annum depending on experience (Not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.15am to 3.45pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Start: March 2026

We’re searching for a dynamic, passionate KS4 Maths Teacher to join our vibrant team and help us transform learning journeys from foundation through to higher GCSE levels.

About the Role

As a KS4 Maths Teacher at Wetheringsett Manor, you will be at the heart of delivering exceptional maths education, primarily to students at Key Stage 4, but also supporting KS2 and KS3 through collaborative curriculum planning. Your role will be diverse and rewarding, encompassing:

High-Quality Teaching: Deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons from Entry Level Certificates (ELC) through to Higher GCSE, ensuring every pupil is supported to achieve their personal best.
Form Tutor Role: Mentor and support a group of students, guiding their academic progress, personal development, and social growth.
Life Skills & Social Development: Participate in delivering life skills and social development lessons, enriching pupils' holistic education.
Curriculum Leadership: Work closely with the Assistant Head and Key Stage leads to develop, review, and implement robust schemes of work, ensuring smooth progression and scaffolding across all key stages.
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Focus: Play a vital role in advancing our SEN provision, working with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies to ensure inclusive education and successful pupil integration.
Collaborative Planning: Help establish and maintain ambitious, achievable targets through data-informed planning, closely tracking pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet evolving needs.
Resource Management: Support the identification, development, and effective use of learning resources, including digital tools, to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.

What You’ll Bring:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold QTS to ensure you are fully qualified to deliver high-quality teaching within the UK education system.
Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
Expertise in Maths Education: Proven experience teaching Maths across a wide range of abilities at KS4, including Entry Level Certificates (ELC), foundation, and higher GCSE levels.
Passion for Inclusion: A genuine commitment to supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring every pupil can thrive.
Innovative Teaching Skills: Ability to employ diverse teaching methods and effective assessment tools tailored to different learning styles and needs.
Data-Driven Approach: Confidence and skill in using assessment data to monitor, evaluate, and improve pupil progress and outcomes.
Team Player: Enthusiastic collaborator who enjoys working within a supportive team, sharing best practices, and contributing to whole-school improvement initiatives.
Strong Communication: Exceptional ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues, and external partners, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Professional Growth: Dedication to your own ongoing professional development, including willingness to undertake training in behaviour management, therapeutic approaches, and any other areas supporting pupil success.
