- The Role…
- At Soho House, the Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen by cleaning and maintaining kitchenware including pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, and glassware.
- Your main responsibility is supporting hygiene and safety standards, managing waste disposal, and maintaining overall cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and back-of-house areas.

- Key duties…
- Wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware in line with daily operational needs
- Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas
- Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately, ensuring bins are emptied and areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the shift
- Adhere to all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and practices in line with UK regulations (including HACCP)
- Follow detailed cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support the kitchen team by replenishing stock, reporting low supplies, and assisting where required during peak service times
- Handle kitchen equipment and items carefully to minimise breakages and maintain inventory integrity
- Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials where required.
- Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- What we are looking for...
- A successful Kitchen Porter for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
- Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Reliability, discretion, and a professional attitude.
- Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to handle feedback to achieve member satisfaction
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
