About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and highly effective Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher to guide their pupils through this crucial developmental phase (Years 1 and 2). This is an exciting opportunity to cultivate a sense of wonder and ensure every child achieves the expected standard and beyond.

Your Roles and Responsibilities will include:
- Designing, preparing, and teaching stimulating lessons in line with the National Curriculum for all core and foundation subjects in KS1.
- Implementing a highly effective and rigorous phonics programme to secure early reading and writing skills.
- Conducting statutory assessments (e.g., Phonics Screening Check, KS1 SATs) and using assessment data judiciously to inform instructional planning.
- Creating a supportive and organised classroom environment that encourages independence, collaboration, and respectful behaviour.
- Working closely with parents/carers to establish an effective home-school partnership that supports pupil learning and well-being.
- Leading and managing the contribution of classroom support staff (TAs) to maximise impact on pupil progress.
- Monitoring the social, emotional, and academic development of all pupils, providing targeted support and interventions as required.
- Taking responsibility for a curriculum area across the whole school (e.g., Science, Art, or History) in consultation with the leadership team.
What We're Looking For
We are searching for a motivated professional with a talent for inspiring young learners.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Successful experience teaching within Key Stage 1, with recent evidence of delivering outstanding teaching practice.
- Exceptional knowledge of effective KS1 pedagogy and transition strategies from EYFS.
- Proven expertise in delivering systematic synthetic phonics and securing high standards in early mathematics.
- Strong behaviour management skills focused on positive relationships and high expectations.
- The ability to work effectively as a proactive member of a dynamic and friendly phase team.
- A resilient, flexible, and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
