Job Summary
As a Junior Purchasing Assistant at AB Roofing Solutions Limited, you will support the Purchasing Lead in the day-to-day procurement activities of our growing roofing business. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth purchasing operations by assisting with everything from raising purchase orders and tracking deliveries to liaising with suppliers and maintaining accurate records. You will help monitor stock levels to ensure the company always has the necessary materials, and provide general administrative support to keep the purchasing department organized. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to learn the ropes of procurement in a modern, expanding company – full training will be provided, and strong performance can lead to good career prospects.
Key Responsibilities
· Raise purchase orders and track their progress to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
· Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, arrange delivery schedules, and resolve any issues.
· Assist in monitoring stock levels and initiating procurement of supplies.
· Provide general administrative support to the purchasing department.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records and documentation.
Required Skills and Attributes
· Confident using Microsoft Excel.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks.
· Eagerness to learn – full training provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,396.00 per year
