Collaborate with business users and IT teams to gather, document, and analyze requirements for new or enhanced systems. Assist in designing technical and functional specifications that align with business objectives. Work with developers to translate business needs into SQL queries and system logic. Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of issues. Support ongoing system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements. Prepare documentation, including process flows, data mapping, and system configuration notes. Conduct user training sessions and assist with creating user manuals or guides. Ensure that business requirements are effectively translated into technical deliverables. Perform basic data analysis and reporting using SQL and other tools. MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS What should the position holder be and have? Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). At least 3 years of working experience as Business Systems Analyst Familiarity with SQL – ability to write queries for data validation and reporting. Basic understanding of system design concepts and software development life cycle (SDLC). Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Eagerness to learn new technologies and systems. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Experience with requirements gathering or business analysis (internships or academic projects welcome). Knowledge of data modeling or relational database concepts. Exposure to Agile or Waterfall project methodologies. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or other project management platforms. Basic knowledge of APIs or integration concepts.
