  • Discover an exciting opportunity to take on an integral role here at Joules Head Office. This is a Graduate position with applications shortlisted in Spring 2026 for a Summer 2026 start date. You will be following a devoted, product-led and fast paced Trainee Buyer Development programme.

What to expect on a day to day basis

  • Your role of Trainee Buyer sits within our friendly and innovative Buying department.
  • Trade: Keep your finger on the pulse of the market by staying up-to-date on competitors' activities. Partner with the Merchandiser to analyse Bestsellers, Worst Sellers, and Fast Lines, shaping the future of our ranges.
  • Pricing & Benchmarking: Become a pricing pro as you assist the Buyer in navigating market prices and compiling insightful analysis. Play a pivotal role in ensuring our pricing remains competitive and appealing to our customers.
  • Supply Base: Get to know our key suppliers like the back of your hand and build strong relationships with them. Keep the wheels turning smoothly by issuing purchase orders and ensuring clear communication channels.
  • Progress: Keep the momentum going by checking in with our supply base weekly to ensure we're hitting those progress KPIs. Update crucial documents like BRP and Key Progress Dates to keep everyone in the loop and on track.
  • Samples: Take charge of our sample game as you assist the Buyer in tracking and managing our samples. Make sure our samples are prepared to perfection for meetings, from unpacking to labelling and everything in between.
  • Product Development: Fuel your passion for product as you dive into research and competitive shopping with the Buyer. Bring your findings to the table with compelling reports that drive our product development decisions forward.
  • Meetings: Gear up for meetings by pulling out the perfect products to showcase our latest and greatest offerings. Be the secret weapon behind key meetings, taking notes and producing minutes like a boss.
  • Team Structures & Buying Cycle: Get to know the ins and outs of our product team and how each piece fits into the puzzle. Work hand-in-hand with your teammates to keep the wheels turning smoothly throughout the buying cycle.
  • Systems: Take ownership of our data management systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness every step of the way. Don't hesitate to reach out for help and guidance when needed – we're all in this together!

About You

From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you are

  • Working towards a Buying/Fashion qualification and demonstrable experience within the Fashion industry.
  • Have a keen eye for spotting trends.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • The ability to work flexibly, at pace and manage your own workload with confidence.
  • The confidence to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels, across the business.
  • An eye for detail and an analytical approach to your work.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and bring something new to the team dynamic.

  • Where will you be working?
  • This is a full time role based at The Barn - our Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire and field based working onsite either at one of our Stores or events.
