- Job Description
- The salary for this role is £42,858 (inclusive of a Specialist Allowance) . Onsite working is expected for 5 days a week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working.
- This role based at West Burton, Nottinghamshire
- This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.

As IT Field Support Specialist , you will play a pivotal role within the IT Support Team which delivers a service model adhering to ITIL’s best practices with an emphasis on timely and efficient management of incidents and service requests.
- This role is strategically positioned as the face of Computing Division to the Business within this group at West Burton and serving other appointed remote sites under the supervision of the IT Support Team Leader. Computing Division is based at Culham, you will be independently working at West Burton.
Additional Responsibilities
- Solely responsible for the provision of 1st and 2nd line IT Support in-person at West Burton.
- Main point of contact/ ownership of key IT issues at West Burton
- Monitor Network performance and Telecoms systems to identify and address connectivity issues.
- Support Microsoft Office (M365) and other common desktop applications including Outlook, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, etc
- Support meeting room VC (video conferencing) technologies and software
- Assist in designing and delivering training in areas under IT Support ownership.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams (2nd, 3rd and 4th line) to facilitate the resolution of complex issues or escalations.
- Support projects that have a requirement or involvement for IT Support.
- Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- HNC in Computing or equivalent experience working within an IT Support environment.
- Exceptional knowledge of various operating systems, including Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, MAC operating systems, and Linux.
- Extensive and practical knowledge of office-based software systems, including MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and associated licensing.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Ability to work independently delivering service.
