We are a UK-based children’s footwear brand (barefoot shoes for ages 1–3, sneaker-inspired but lightweight and flexible). We have developed a new design with a side stripe element inspired by the “S” of our brand name, Sautille. Before launch, we want to ensure there is no infringement risk with existing registered designs (notably Vans and others). Scope of work: • Review photos of our current design and comparisons (including Vans references). • Assess risks related to registered designs, trademarks, and trade dress (UK/EU, optional US). • Confirm whether our stripe is sufficiently distinct from existing side designs. • Flag any other potentially conflicting designs. • (Optional) Provide quick guidance on how best to protect our own design, especially in China (not a filing, just orientation). Requirements: • UK/EU IP lawyer or proven design rights specialist with experience in footwear/fashion. • Ability to provide references or a sample memo. • NDA-friendly.
