You will play a key role in supporting investment management operations, focusing on unquoted trading, fee oversight, valuation processes & performance analysis. The role requires a detail-oriented & proactive individual who can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the accuracy & integrity of investment data while maintaining close collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders & third-party service providers.
Team Overview
- The Middle Office sits within the wider Investment Operations function, which is made up of five core teams: Cash Management, Client Onboarding, Client Account Operations, Settlements & Middle Office. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach, supporting the continuous improvement of operational efficiency through automation, process enhancement & the use of digital tools.
- What you will be doing
- Unquoted Trading Support
- Oversee trade capture, verification, & settlement processes for unquoted securities.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Legal, & third parties to ensure accurate & timely execution.
- Fees Management
- Calculate, review, & reconcile management & performance fees across various products.
- Monitor accruals, adjustments, & fee payments to ensure accuracy & transparency.
- Valuations
- Assist with the generation, review & validation of valuations for all products, ensuring adherence to valuation policies.
- Performance Analysis
- Produce & validate performance reporting across portfolios, ensuring consistency with product attributes.
- Support with Management Information (MI) production & reporting.
- Process & Systems Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process automation & digital enhancement across middle office workflows.
- Contribute to system implementations, UAT, & continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all operational processes adhere to internal controls, regulatory requirements, & best practices.
- Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Strong Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, & data analysis tools).
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional qualifications such as the IMC, IOC or CF1 or equivalent are highly desirable, or a demonstrated willingness to pursue these within an agreed timeframe.
