The Katie Trust | Truth. Justice. Accountability. Supporting families failed by official narratives. The Katie Trust is a Northern Ireland–based charity that supports families seeking truth and justice after the sudden death of a loved one has been wrongly classified as suicide, accident, or disappearance. We combine investigative rigour with compassionate advocacy — helping families navigate coronial processes, police oversight bodies, and political systems when official responses fall short. Our work exposes systemic gaps in how domestic abuse, coercive control, and suspicious deaths are investigated and recorded. Through research, case review, and policy engagement, we work to: • Strengthen coronial and police accountability; • Ensure victims’ voices are heard in line with the Victim Charter (NI); • Advocate for domestic homicide reviews and better recognition of coercive control; • Build a safer, fairer system for those left behind. We stand with families in their search for truth.
