VAT Manager | 6-Month Contract | Outside IR35 | Media | London (Hybrid) We're partnering with a global media organisation to urgently appoint a VAT Manager on a fixed-term basis. This role sits within the UK Controllership team and will focus on delivering accurate VAT reporting, compliance, and process improvements across multiple periods. Key Responsibilities: Review and correct VAT debtor and creditor transactions within the ERP systemFinalise Q3 2025 VAT declaration and prepare Q4 2025 VAT return (due 31 January 2026)Amend and resubmit Q1 and Q2 FY2025 VAT returns, including full-year reconciliation for 2025Conduct retrospective reviews for FY2024 VAT filingsStrengthen VAT processes and controls, contributing to training materials for finance and non-finance teamsAct as primary contact for HMRC during audits and inquiriesProvide VAT advisory support on transactions and new projectsIdentify risk areas, minimise liabilities, and explore tax planning opportunitiesCollaborate with offshore teams and liaise with external advisers where required What We're Looking For: Expert knowledge of UK VAT (non-UK VAT experience advantageous)Qualified accountant (ACA, CTA or equivalent) with post-qualification experienceBackground in large, complex organisations with multi-jurisdictional exposureStrong analytical skills and attention to detail, with advanced Excel capabilityConfident communicator able to simplify complex issues for non-finance stakeholdersExperience in process transformation, automation, and change managementFamiliarity with Workday or similar ERP systems desirableAvailable to start immediately Apply for more details.
