As their first procurement lead, you'll shape how procurement operates, bringing structure, clarity, and guidance while leading key sourcing activity and building a strong procurement framework. Client Details This is a Not-for-Profit organisation. They are a medium-sized entity focused on delivering exceptional service while maintaining efficient procurement and supply chain operations. Description Key responsibilities for the Interim Procurement Manager: Developing procurement policies, processes, and governance appropriate for a college environmentBuilding a central view of contracts and supplier arrangementsProviding expert advice and support to teams across the collegeLeading sourcing exercises, tendering activity, and negotiationsEnsuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and relevant sector regulationsSupporting value-for-money decisions and effective supplier managementCreating positive relationships with stakeholders and promoting good procurement practice Profile A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have: Experience in procurement within the public sector, education, or a regulated settingStrong knowledge of public procurement rules and processesThe ability to introduce new approaches in a clear, engaging, and practical wayExcellent communication skills and the confidence to influence and advise stakeholdersStrong analytical and commercial awareness(Desirable) A CIPS qualification or working towards one Job Offer Competitive daily rate between £450 and £600, depending on experience.Hybrid
