Financial Controller | 6 Month FTC | Cheshire | Up to £70,000A fast-paced and growing business is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of core accounting, reporting, and controls on an interim basis. You'll play a key role in strengthening financial governance, leading the month-end process, and supporting senior leadership with accurate, timely insight.Responsibilities Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary.Own cashflow forecasting, treasury management, and full oversight of the cashbook and payment authorisations.Manage central overheads - accruals, prepayments, journals, budgeting, and cost control.Oversee and develop the AP & AR teams, ensuring strong performance, accuracy, and robust controls.Lead statutory reporting requirements (VAT, audit preparation, year-end accounts) and support the Finance Director on key financial projects. About You Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong technical accounting expertise.Broad experience across financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.Confident communicator with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the business.Highly organised, detail-driven, and comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines.A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with experience driving process improvement and supporting business change.
