  • At Securitas Technology, we’re searching for a proactive Installation Engineer to maintain the Installation & testing, programming and commissioning of multi-disciplined security systems in support to the Project Delivery Team and assist in the Projects to Service handover process where applicable.

  • As a Installation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our customers’ systems across technologies such as: Access Control, Intruder Detection Systems: Galaxy, Texecom, CCTV Solutions: Milestone, Axis Cameras & Perimeter Intruder Detection Systems. Southwest Microwave, Geoquip, Harper Chalice.

  • Job Description
  • Install, test, programme and commission security systems and edge devices
  • Carry out system functional and witness testing, supporting client sign-off
  • Complete pre-handover quality checks and support rectification where required
  • Configure head-end software to enable full system testing prior to handover
  • Liaise with client and internal IT teams during testing and commissioning of networked systems
  • Provide technical guidance on system networking requirements and dependencies.
  • Deliver informal system configuration and end-user training as required.
  • Support project delivery through site supervision, progress monitoring and H&S compliance when acting as Project Engineer.
  • Maintain accurate testing, variation and progress records, reporting to the Project Manager.
  • Support project handover to the Service Team, ensuring company standards and quality requirements are met.
  • Qualifications

Required

  • 5-year checkable work history
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Full clean UK driving license
  • Security Cleared to BPSS Level.
  • Attain Approval to be Security Cleared to SC Level if not already the case
  • Hold a professional qualification in terms of formal education.
  • 5 years’ minimum experience in a Commissioning Engineer role. Additional
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the Security Industry or related environment.
  • A strong customer management background.
  • Able to self-manage the delivery of project goals and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Be comfortable be able to contribute positively to a dynamic team environment.
  • Is a good communicator and at ease with presenting in front of stakeholders.
  • Produce accurate progress reports.
  • Proficient in process development.

Competencies

  • Preferred product experience is listed below, however where lacking, training will be provided.
  • Experience in the following Access Control Solutions: CEM AC2000
  • Experience in the following Intruder Detection Systems: Galaxy, Texecom .
  • Experience in the following CCTV Solutions: Milestone, Axis Cameras
  • Experience in the following Perimeter Intruder Detection Systems. Southwest Microwave, Geoquip, Harper Chalice
