Position
The Insight Internship is a fantastic opportunity to discover our Brands, our Company and to get familiar with how our business is run. As an Intern you will be part of the Insight team reporting to the Senior Insights & Category Manager in the mission of developing a consumer centric culture at MHUK with timely provision of market, competitive intelligence, consumer, shopper, and trends insights. You will be liaising with other functions across our business, primarily marketing and sales and will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with numerous insight tools & projects to provide you with the foundation for strategic brand analysis & understanding.
Job responsibilities
Understand competitive & trends context to maintain leading edge
- Business intelligence monitoring: Proactively monitor the UK economic and social landscape, competitor activity, and consumer trends to support the preparation of regular newsletters, reports, analyses, and ad-hoc requests from brand & commercial teams
- External data collation: Systematically collate relevant data from external agencies via reports or webinars
Analyse category and brand performance to identify potential implications & actions
Market/brand/customer analysis: Conduct ad-hoc market, brand, and customer analyses to identify key performance drivers and opportunities
- Data tool proficiency: Master utilization of Nielsen Discover, Knowledge Gaps, CGA, IGD, Wine Services, and IWSR to inform the business of key insights and prepare on-going reports
• Monthly reporting: Extract and prepare regular monthly reports, including Nielsen Off Trade analysis, to support the Insights team, brand team, and commercial team • Brand plan support: Assist in preparing market and consumer insights for brand plans
Consumer & Shopper understanding to drive brand desirability
- Bespoke research support: Support the setup and execution of qualitative and quantitative consumer & shopper research projects Administrative Support
- Support Senior Insights & Category Manager with Purchase Orders creation & tracking invoices CANDIDATE’S
Profile

Professional experience & know how:
- Analytical interest and experience
- Ability to carry their own desk research Talented in synthetizing large amount of information in key findings.
- Past experience of Nielsen or IWSR would be an advantage.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Interest in wines & spirits industry beneficial
