- Job Summary
- The Infrastructure Asset Management Lead is responsible for governing the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure assets, including hardware, software licenses, cloud resources, and related contracts. This role ensures compliance, cost optimization, accurate asset visibility, and effective capacity utilization across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Key Responsibilities
- IT Asset & License Management
- Own end-to-end IT asset lifecycle management (procure → deploy → maintain → retire)
- Manage software license compliance (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, VMware, etc.)
- Conduct regular license audits, true-ups, and risk assessments
- Maintain accurate asset inventory and CMDB data
- Capacity & Utilization Management
- Monitor and analyze infrastructure capacity (servers, storage, network, cloud)
- Identify under-utilized or over-provisioned assets and recommend optimization
- Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams on demand forecasting and scaling
- Drive cost efficiency through right-sizing and consolidation initiative
- Contract & Vendor Management
- Manage infrastructure-related contracts, renewals, and SLAs
- Track contract milestones, expirations, and renewal timelines
- Support commercial negotiations with vendors and procurement teams
- Ensure contract compliance and value realization
- Financial & Cost Optimization
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback/showback models
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across licenses, hardware, and cloud usage
- Support audits and financial governance requirement
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and regulations
- Support internal and external audits (IT, financial, license)
- Define and enforce ITAM standards, processes, and controls
- Tools, Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Manage CMDB tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow)
- Produce dashboards and reports for leadership
- Act as primary point of contact for asset-related escalations
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, finance, and procurement teams
