ROLE DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Junior Business Partner - Information Governance, the role will provide essential operational and administrative support across the Business Assurance Team, helping to maintain high standards of data protection, audit coordination, and records management.

Key duties include:

  • Manage the shared DPO mailbox and coordinate data right requests in line with statutory timeframes.
  • Support the Junior Business Partner - Information Governance to respond to data security incidents and promote data protection awareness across NCG.
  • Assist in the implementation of the records retention schedule and coordinate reviews for secure storage and disposal.
  • Maintain compliance trackers and shared drives to support audit and governance requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for audit meetings, document management, and day-to-day team operations.

Please note that prior experience and knowledge in information governance, assurance, or data protection is not required.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements, working two days a week in the office based in Newcastle (Rye Hill House).
