Entity: Production & Operations Job Family Group: HSSE Group Job Description: Industrial Hygienist (Generic) – Health Hub Profile Role Synopsis: Industrial Hygienists are health protection professionals with a Level 6 (e.g. BSc, BOHS CertOH, OHTA CertOH) qualification in industrial (or occupational) hygiene. Their role is to work closely with the health hub lead in defining the hub industrial hygiene plan, aligned with bp’s health strategy and local business priorities, and lead the hub industrial hygiene team in the delivery of Industrial Hygiene programmes. The role is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining IH processes, procedures, and plans to provide sound technical advice and support to all business/entities and functions to deliver safe, reliable, and compliant operations. The role also maintains relevant IH and regulatory compliance management systems and leads the integration of IH processes in health hub businesses to deliver the IH requirements and expectations. Key Accountabilities: Holds the following accountabilities in support of all businesses within the role scope health hub; Works closely with the health hub lead and other key stakeholders in the hub businesses to develop and implement IH programmes, standards and practices, aligned with bp’s health strategy and hub business risk-based priorities.
