About

I’m developing a chemical-free, drop-in toilet tank descaler pod — designed to prevent hard water stains and limescale buildup inside the toilet bowl. The internal mechanism is already defined (TAC bead filtration), but I need an experienced industrial designer to help refine and finalize the product’s external shape and visual identity. This is not a DIY product — I want the final design to look like a thoughtfully engineered, modern home solution (think Dyson x Blueland x Simplehuman). The form should be visually distinctive, compatible with injection molding or 3D printing, and reflect the brand's positioning as clean, smart, and minimalist. 🎯 What I Need Help With Collaborate with me to refine the external shape, silhouette, and proportions of the pod Design something that balances: 💧 Functionality (it must sink quickly, allow water flow, hold a sachet of beads securely, not interfere with tank parts) 🎯 Manufacturability (low mold complexity, two-part mold preferred, or printable as a prototype) ✨ Visual appeal (must stand out in photos, feel “designed,” not like a cleaning product) Explore 2–3 shape directions (e.g., flat cylinder, vented capsule, soft-square body) Recommend vent/hole patterns for optimal water flow + distinctive visual signature Deliver 3D concepts, exploded view + visual renders for stakeholder review ✅ Deliverables 2–3 form-factor concept sketches Final chosen 3D model (STEP + STL preferred) Exploded view render of inner sachet + shell High-quality 3D render(s) for marketing reference 🧠 What I’ll Provide Full product spec and context (function, dimensions, bead media) Deep customer persona and visual inspiration Manufacturing constraints (no weights, must sink, ideally 1–2 plastic parts) 🔍 Ideal Candidate Strong experience in industrial design for consumer products (especially small plastic devices or household tools) Familiarity with 3D printing and/or injection molding constraints Ability to propose distinctive yet practical forms Good aesthetic sense (bonus if you’re familiar with DTC or modern brand design language) Experience in bathroom, cleaning, or utility product design is a plus ⏱ Timeline Looking to start immediately. First shape concepts within 5–7 days. Final model within ~2 weeks. 💬 How to Apply Please share: Relevant product design samples (especially small-form plastic products or capsule-style items) Your design process and how you approach form/function balance Any quick ideas or references based on this description (optional but appreciated)
