Dalton Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity available for a highly experienced Procurement Category Manager to take ownership of Indirect (Non-IT) spend. The new Indirect Category Manager will lead strategic sourcing and procurement activity for the client across a broad range of indirect spend areas, including professional services, facilities management, marketing services, travel and HR services. Managing c. £50m of annual spend, this is a key role in shaping procurement performance, delivering commercial value, and supporting the wider business objectives at a time of very positive transformational change for the organisation.As a trusted advisor to the business, you will develop long-term category strategies for indirect categories, lead complex sourcing initiatives, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support operational excellence across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement category strategies that deliver cost savings, service improvements and supply chain resilienceBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement plans with business prioritiesLead supplier selection, evaluation, negotiation and ongoing performance managementManage end-to-end sourcing activity, from market analysis and RFP development to bid assessment and contract awardNegotiate and manage contracts to ensure compliance, value optimisation and mitigate riskAnalyse spend to identify opportunities, efficiencies and trends; provide clear reporting to leadershipEnsure full compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements and governance frameworksDrive continuous improvement, innovation and optimisation across categories and processesStay informed on market developments to support effective decision-making and strategy refinementAbout YouProven experience in indirec
