This role is crucial in improving services and community cohesion, leading projects, and ensuring good governance across the council. Day-to-day of the role: Provide expert advice and manage complex cases related to policy and risk.Lead and support staff through training, quality checks, and direct supervision.Research, review, and implement policies and best practices to enhance service delivery.Manage performance and resources efficiently across various projects.Act as a champion for continuous service improvement and innovation.Organise and chair meetings and working groups to foster collaboration and effective communication.Ensure effective budget management and financial accountability.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for senior managers and elected members.Handle customer complaints and queries professionally and tactfully.
