Job Role: Import Operator
Our client is seeking a talented and dedicated Import Operator to join their dynamic team within a global logistics provider. So what does the role look like?
- Manage and coordinate import operations from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and industry standards, while maintaining excellent relationships with customs authorities.
- Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and facilitate smooth operations.
- Track shipments and provide updates to clients, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
So do you have what it takes?
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in import operations or a related logistics role.
- Strong understanding of import procedures, customs regulations, and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office applications.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and highly organised, with a proactive approach to managing tasks.
