Join the London Fire Brigade as an HR Service Centre Administrative Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in supporting Brigade staff through their employee life-cycle. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to our vision of being a world-class fire and rescue service by providing excellent and professional customer service within the People Services department. Pay rate: £17.56 per hour via PAYE or £22.68 per hour via Umbrella Location: Southwark, London, SE1 Contract duration: 2 months Day-to-day of the role: Administer the transactional elements of the HR Service Centre including on-boarding, authorisation, variation, and termination processes.Maintain and assist in the development of both manual and computerised office systems.Undertake basic research on various issues as directed, providing summaries to senior managers.Attend meetings, take accurate notes, and undertake any required follow-up actions.Produce standard correspondence and ensure the accuracy of information before dispatch.Handle telephone inquiries politely and efficiently, assisting callers with their requirements.Receive and assist visitors, identifying their requirements and helping them achieve the purpose of their visit.Respond to letters, emails, and other communications promptly and efficiently.Assist the HR Service Centre Co-ordinator with the collation and provision of statistical management information.Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information in accordance with GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
