HR & Payroll Officer Annual Salary: £28,000 - £35,000Location: High WycombeJob Type: Full-time - office based (9am - 5pm) We are seeking a confident and people-focused HR & Payroll Officer to join our team. This key role within our HR function is responsible for delivering an accurate, timely payroll service and providing comprehensive HR administrative support. As the HR & Payroll Officer, you will ensure flawless payroll execution and maintain high standards of employee data management, contributing to the smooth operation of HR processes. Day-to-day of the role: Handle end-to-end processing of the monthly payroll for approximately 350 employees.Manage payroll changes, including new starters, leavers, and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Prepare and submit reports to HMRC and pension providers.Serve as the first point of contact for payroll and HR queries, offering clear, friendly, and solution-focused support.Support the HR team with various administrative tasks, such as preparing contracts and letters, maintaining accurate employee records in the HR system, and coordinating onboarding and probation processes.Work closely with managers to ensure payroll and HR information is accurate and deadlines are met.Contribute to HR projects and employee engagement activities, helping to improve processes and maintain strong controls. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years' experience in running a payroll from start to finish.Strong technical knowledge of PAYE, pensions, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.).Excellent attention to detail, organisation skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.High people skills with a strong customer-service mindset - approachable, clear
