Temporary HR Officer Location: GorlestonJob Type: Temporary contractSalary: HR Officer level £31,537- £33,699 per annum equivalent; We are seeking a Temporary HR Officer to join our team in Gorleston. This role is essential for managing HR-related matters within the academies, supporting the employee life cycle, and ensuring compliance with all HR policies and procedures. The position requires someone who can start immediately and has an enhanced DBS in place. The role is temporary on a week by week basis. Day-to-day of the role: Serve as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries within the academies.Maintain accurate and orderly HR files, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and GDPR requirements.Manage the MIS and personnel systems, ensuring all employee contractual details and staff data are up-to-date and in line with trust and school policies.Provide reports on various HR metrics such as sickness absences, entitlements, and recruitment.Ensure timely updates to the payroll system for any contract changes.Maintain the single central record (SCR) ensuring it is correct, up-to-date, and compliant with safeguarding requirements.Oversee the school workforce census and manage the probation and staff performance appraisal processes.Support line managers with risk assessments and maintain an accurate bank of job descriptions and person specifications.Assist with recruitment processes including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed in line with the Safer Recruitment Policy.Issue employment documents such as offer letters and contracts and maintain induction packs and Employee Handbooks.
