- Job Title: HR Business Partner (6-month FTC)
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 17.00 36.25 hours per week
- Salary: up to £50,000
- Location: Hybrid working from any of our vibrant UK offices in Cardiff (preferred), Blackpool, London or Durham

- The main purpose of this fixed-term role is to support the People team in driving the overarching People strategy during a period of change within the bank. The successful candidate will primarily lead on projects relating to compensation and benefits.
- They will also work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner, senior leaders and line managers to diagnose people priorities, create and/or implement people plans, and help implement improvement initiatives. This is a fast-paced and varied role within a small, vibrant team of HR professionals.

- The HR team work closely with colleagues across the Bank to support all areas of the employee journey, from onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits to performance management, engagement, culture and diversity. The team is structured to support the reactive needs of the business whilst also providing proactive guidance to drive and improve people performance. We are a highly responsive team which is flexible and supportive, doing what’s needed to ensure we deliver to our HR colleagues and internal customers.
- This role will also work proactively with our Procurement and Finance teams, third party providers and potential new suppliers.

As an HR Business Partner at Tandem your focus will be on
- Support for the wider People team in developing and executing projects and initiatives, primarily focused on reward and benefits.
- Building good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertaking benchmarking and market research, utilising MI and data to provide insights and recommendations for consideration.
- Support and drive the People strategy in other areas such as performance management, engagement, retention and talent management.
- Support compliance with employment law and relevant regulatory compliance across the Bank including compliance with the Senior Manager & Certification Regime.
- Provide employee relations and general support to the HR team on an ad hoc basis.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
- Relevant HR generalist experience, with a focus on business partnering and/or compensation and benefits.
- A flexible and adaptable style with the ability to work at both operational and strategic levels.
- Good understanding of employment law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence others of all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in HR data analysis and insights
- Ability to think critically and pragmatically.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Are a team player, willing to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and work outside your job remit, when required, to ensure the success of the overall team.
- Are CIPD qualified.
It would be great, but not essential if you have
- Previous experience of researching and implementing compensation and benefits frameworks/offerings.
- Previous experience working in an FCA-regulated environment and an understanding of SMCR and FCA regulations applicable to HR.
