A leading global technology-driven firm is seeking a Production Engineer to join its High-Performance Computing (HPC) team based in London. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions that drive efficiency, scalability, and security across the organization. We are looking for a hands-on professional with deep expertise in managing complex Linux environments and a solid software development background to support highly customized, large-scale systems. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with business objectives.Lead complex projects leveraging emerging technologies to optimize performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of initiatives.Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations. Requirements: 5+ years of professional experience in high-performance computing (HPC).Hands-on expertise with parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS), batch scheduling systems (e.g., Slurm, Grid Engine), and high-performance network interconnects.5+ years of Linux systems administration experience.Strong proficiency in at least one programming or scripting languageProven track record in designing, building, and maintaining complex, distributed, and interdependent systems.Extensive experience in profiling and debugging application stacks using debuggers and performance profilers.Familiarity with configuration management tools (SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet). A strong commitment to root cause analysis and problem resolution.
