Randstad has an opportunity available for an experienced Hospitality and Catering Trainer Assessor to join the team at Belfast Metropolitan College.
This role will be based in Magheraberry Prison within the college function onsite.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the training, assessment and support of learners undertaking Hospitality and Catering qualifications. They will manage a caseload of students, delivering high-quality training sessions, assessing vocational competence in line with awarding body standards and providing constructive feedback to ensure learner success.

Requirements
- Hold a relevant vocational qualification (Level 3 or above) within a Hospitality or catering based role
- Candidates with a recognised assessor qualification in place would be at an advantage
- Demonstrable experience of training and assessing within Hospitality and Catering
- Experience of identifying, developing and sharing innovative and creative teaching resource
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role)
Responsibilities
- To train, assess and manage a caseload of learners on Hospitality and Catering programmes
- To deliver engaging and innovative teaching and training sessions, adapting the needs of diverse learners
- To monitor, review and track learner progress against planned targets, providing regular feedback and support to ensure timely achievement
- To develop and utilise creative teaching resources that enhance the learning experience
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, including assessment documentation, reviews and e-portfolios
- To effectively prepare learners for formal assessments, examinations or end-point assessments
- To build and maintain strong relationships with employers and other stakeholders to support the learning process
