Overview

We are seeking a Hire Desk Controller to join our Birmingham depot. Experience within the hire industry is preferable, though not essential. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop within a dynamic and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day on-hire and off-hire processes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Assist the Depot Manager with various administrative duties.
  • Support head office with other tasks as required.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.

Candidate Requirements

  • A willingness to learn in a busy office environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficient in IT and data input, with a high level of accuracy.
  • An interest in the construction sector and its operations.
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead.
  • High personal and professional ethics, with a proactive approach to tasks.
