Previous experience with waste or recycling would be an advantage although the client WILL offer in-house, on the job training and instruction on the various vehicles they operate in their fleet, so your experience as a driver will be utilised and your skills and knowledge base will increase.This is a temporary role for 5 months, possibly longer, with the potential of the role going permanent. The hours of work are 7.00am – 3.00pm, Monday to Friday and pay rate is £14.72 per hour.Your duties will include;Driving and operating a variety of waste collection vehicles, using safe and efficient driving techniques and adhere to clients’ requirements.Assisting with providing an efficient waste collection and disposal service within York.Observing health and safety requirements and be responsible for the safety of the crew, yourself and members of the public.Working within a team of waste loaders and assist with loading duties when needed.You will need:Driver CPC QualificationDriving ExperienceFull Category C Driving LicenceClass 2 Driving LicenceExperience of working long periods with sustained physical effortExperience of using a Digital Tachograph CardAbility to work as part of a teamTo applyTo apply, please email your CV (with reference details).
